Two key factors determine LPG cylinder prices in India: the rupee's exchange rate against the dollar and the global benchmark rate. Each household is entitled to up to 12 cylinders (14.2 kg each) per year at subsidized rates. Additional cylinders must be purchased at the market price. LPG prices are based on the previous month's international market price.

HP Gas: Managed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, HP Gas offers gas connections across India. Customers can receive LPG cylinders at subsidized rates under government schemes, provided they submit the required documents. Existing customers can transfer connections nationwide.

Indane Gas: Operated by Indian Oil Corporation, Indane Gas supplies LPG cylinders throughout India. To apply for a new connection, relevant documents must be submitted to the nearest distributor.
