Introduction:
State Bank of India (SBI), one of India's most popular state-run banks, has recently enhanced its banking services to provide customers with a seamless banking experience. With the introduction of new features to its Internet banking service, customers can now easily activate their ATM-cum-Debit cards without having to physically visit a bank branch.
This online service not only saves time for customers but also brings convenience right to their fingertips. In this article, we will guide you on how to generate an ATM Pin in SBI through online net banking. Traditionally, when a person received their ATM card, they were required to visit a nearby bank branch to collect the activation pin code.
However, in today's fast-paced world, everyone has a hectic schedule, making it difficult to find time for such errands. By utilizing SBI's internet banking service, customers can now generate their ATM pin from the comfort of their own homes or offices. Follow these simple steps below:
1. Visit the SBI website and log in to your internet banking account using your user id and password.
2. Under the e-Services tab, you will find the 'ATM Card Services' link. Click on it to access several options, including blocking an ATM card, requesting a new card, setting ATM card limits, changing ATM pin, and generating a new ATM pin. With these services, you can perform any banking activity hassle-free.
Steps to Generate ATM PIN SBI Online:
1. Go to the official SBI website, https://onlinesbi.com, and log in to your internet banking account using your user id and password.
2. Once logged in, navigate to the 'e-Services' link and select 'ATM Card Services' from the sidebar menu.
3. Within the 'ATM Card Services,' choose the 'ATM Pin Generation' option. You will be prompted to authenticate your access by selecting either the Profile Password or OTP (one-time password) mode. The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Enter your profile password and click 'submit.'
5. If you have multiple accounts linked to your internet banking, choose the desired account and click 'continue.'
6. The next page will present a list of activated cards associated with the selected account. Select the card for which you want to generate the pin and click 'submit.' If your card is not listed, check under the 'New Cards' category.
Note: A service charge of Rs. 51 will be deducted from your account for changing the ATM pin through online SBI.
7. On the following page, you will be asked to enter the first two digits of your desired pin. Enter these digits, and SBI will send the remaining two digits to your registered mobile number.
8. On the subsequent page, enter the final two digits sent to your mobile phone and click 'submit.' Your ATM card will then become active, allowing you to conveniently access various online transactions and services.
With these simple steps, customers can now generate their ATM PINs from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the need to visit a bank branch. Stay tuned for more informative articles on such banking services.
