The State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced the SBI EMS portal, a specialized Enterprise Messaging Service for its workforce. This platform assigns unique email IDs to employees, linked either with SBI or its associated entities. Access to the portal is restricted, requiring employees to liaise with the local EMS head or the banking administrator, and approval is essential to obtain credentials.
How to Access the SBI EMS Portal:
- Navigate to https://ems.sbi.co.in if you have access rights.
- Enter your username and choose the appropriate domain; for instance, sbi.co.in for SBI employees or sbp.co.in for State Bank of Patiala staff.
- Input your password and click 'Sign In' to reach the EMS Dashboard.
Key Aspects of the EMS Portal:
- For account initiation, contact the Admin or EMS head within IT. Post-approval, accounts remain active for 24 hours.
- Usernames and passwords are distributed as a one-time password (OTP), prompting a password update upon initial login.
- Passwords have a 90-day expiration cycle, requiring periodic changes.
- In the event of a forgotten password, reach out to the EMS Helpline for resetting. Five incorrect attempts will render the account inactive for 30 minutes.
- Modification of DNS or proxy settings will block portal access.
