Hyderabad Airport Metro Line Expansion to Mindspace Junction

The expansion of the Hyderabad Metro's Blue Line to Mindspace Junction, approximately 800 meters from the Raidurg Terminal Station, is underway, including the development of a multi-level station. Completed in 3 years, this Airport corridor will enhance connectivity, and extend services to Ramoji Rao Film City.

State Budget's Impact on Hyderabad Metro

The Telangana State Budget has allocated Rs 2,500 crore to escalate metro connectivity. The budget for 2023-24 includes Rs 500 crore towards the Hyderabad Airport connectivity, Rs 500 crore for metro rail, and Rs 1,500 crore for loans. This funding will facilitate the MGBS-Falaknuma line and aims to enhance connectivity to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, with Rs 500 crore committed to the 5.5 km MGBS-Falaknuma route, alongside the 31 km stretch from Raidurg to Shamshabad airport. This project has recently seen its foundation laid by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
