How to Track SBI Transactions with a UTR Number
The State Bank of India (SBI) offers a straightforward method to track your transaction status using the Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) number. This number is a distinctive identifier created for each transaction processed via RTGS, NEFT, or UPI systems. According to RBI guidelines, UTR numbers feature a 16-digit code, differing in format between banks.
The UTR number is essential for monitoring transaction status, especially if confirmation messages are not received due to technical issues during financial transactions between accounts. It streamlines the process and ensures transaction status is easily tracked.
Steps to Track SBI Transaction Status Using UTR:
Step 1: Visit the SBI Net Banking site and log in with your ID and password (always keep this data secure).
Step 2: Click on 'Request and Enquiries', then select 'Status Enquiry'.
Step 3: Select a date range for the concerned transaction.
Step 4: A transaction list will be shown. Click on 'click here' beside the reference number.
Step 5: The subsequent page will reveal the UTR number and transaction status for NEFT or RTGS.

Alternatively, you can find your UTR number using your account statement: Log in to the SBI website with your customer ID and password, then:
- Open your account statement.
- The account's date-wise transaction history appears.
- To view a specific transaction's UTR, click on transaction details.
- A window will open showing transaction data, including the Transaction ID, which is the UTR number.
If you face challenges or prefer a direct approach, call SBI customer care at 1800112211, 18004253800, or 080-26599990 and provide the UTR number for status updates. Visiting a branch in person to follow the same process is another option.
Notably, terms like Order ID, Transaction ID, Transaction number, and UPI Reference ID might be used synonymously with the UTR number. These all denote the same unique identifier for tracking transactions.
