How to Track SBI Transaction Status Using UTR Number?
The State Bank of India (SBI) offers a simple way to track your transaction status using the Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) number. This unique identifier is generated for each transaction conducted through RTGS, NEFT, or UPI systems, as per RBI guidelines. The UTR number is a 16-digit code that varies among banks.
Utilizing the UTR number is crucial for tracking transaction status, particularly when confirmation messages are absent due to technical disruptions during account transactions. This process streamlines tracking and facilitates easy status updates.
Steps to Track SBI Transaction Status Using UTR:
Step 1: Access the SBI Net Banking site, and log in using your ID and password (ensure this information remains confidential).
Step 2: Navigate to 'Request and Enquiries' and choose 'Status Enquiry'.
Step 3: Specify the date range for the transaction in question.
Step 4: A list of transactions will appear. Click 'click here' next to the reference number.
Step 5: The following page will display the UTR number along with the transaction status for NEFT or RTGS.

Alternatively, you can locate your UTR number via your account statement: Log into the SBI website with your customer ID and password, and:
- Open your account statement.
- Your account's transaction history by date will be presented.
- To see a particular transaction’s UTR, click on the transaction details.
- A window will reveal the transaction data, including the Transaction ID, which is the UTR number.
If facing issues or preferring direct methods, contact SBI customer care via 1800112211, 18004253800, or 080-26599990, and provide the UTR number for a status update. Visiting a branch in person is another option.
It's significant that terms like Order ID, Transaction ID, Transaction number, and UPI Reference ID can be used interchangeably with the UTR number, all indicating the same unique identifier for transaction tracking.
