  • A registered mobile number linked to the account.
  • Installed SBI Yono App on your phone.
  • Your SBI profile password.
  • SBI internet banking username and password.
  • Last four digits of your SBI debit card for the SMS method.

Step-by-Step Activation Procedure

SBI customers can activate online transactions for their debit cards via SBI mobile banking or SBI net banking. Here's how:

1. SMS Activation Method:

If not using internet banking, activate your card by SMS:

  • Use the registered mobile number to open your messaging app.
  • Send an SMS with the text "SWON ECOM" to 092239 66666 (standard rates apply).
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS enabling online transactions. Your card is now activated for online use.

2. Yono App Activation Method:

Manage your online transactions through the SBI Yono App:

  • Download the Yono App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Register using your SBI internet banking credentials.
  • Access the menu and select the service request option.
  • Choose debit card services, enter your profile password, and proceed.
  • Select manage cards to enable e-commerce and other transaction features. Your card is ready for online transactions.

3. Net Banking Activation Method:

Activate online transactions using SBI net banking:

  • Visit https://www.onlinesbi.com/.
  • Log in with your credentials and enter the OTP from your registered mobile.
  • Choose the e-services option on the dashboard.
  • Select ATM card services and opt for ATM card limit/channel/usage changes.
  • Select your SBI account and card, then enable online transaction activation for POS and CPN channels. Your card is now activated for online transactions.
