How to Update Your SBI Account Address in 7 Steps
State Bank of India (SBI) customers can efficiently update their address for a seamless banking experience. Whether moving cities or simply within the same locale, keeping your address current in the bank's records is vital.
For security reasons, changing your SBI account address online is not possible. Visit your home branch in person with the necessary identification and address proof documents, both originals and copies.
To initiate the update, prepare a written application to the Branch Manager, including your old address from the passbook and the new address details you wish to update. Enclose requisite KYC document copies per the bank's guidelines.
Once at the branch, request and fill the Address Updating Form carefully, attaching it with your application and KYC documents.
You should receive a notification on the address update status within 2-3 working days.
Upon confirmation, revisit the branch and head to the Help Desk. Present your old passbook to get a new one with the updated address. Also, request a new cheque book along with the passbook.
These straightforward steps ensure your SBI account address is updated, allowing for accurate future communications and transactions.
