How to Check Aadhaar Card Status: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Check Aadhaar Card Status:

Method 1: Online via Enrollment Number

  • Visit the UIDAI website.
  • Input your 14-digit Enrollment ID (EID) and enrollment date/time.
  • Verify the captcha and click 'Check Status.'
  • Select 'Download Aadhaar' for e-Aadhaar or 'Acquire Aadhaar on Mobile' to get it on your mobile.
  • Status updates will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Method 2: Without Enrollment Number

  • Retrieve your number from the UIDAI lost UID/EID portal.
  • Provide your details and receive an OTP on your registered mobile.
  • Enter the OTP to verify.
  • Your enrollment number/Aadhaar card details will be sent to your registered email or mobile.
  • Use this enrollment number to check the status.

Method 3: Via Name

Use your Enrollment ID found on the acknowledgment slip received during Aadhaar application.

Method 4: By SMS

Send "UID STATUS <14-digit enrollment number>" to 51969. The response will indicate whether the Aadhaar is generated or current status if not.

Method 5: By Post

Your Aadhaar should arrive at your registered address within 60-90 days. Track the delivery on the India Post website.
