Guide to Checking Aadhaar Card Status:
Option 1: Using Enrollment Number Online
- Navigate to the official UIDAI website.
- Input your 14-digit Enrollment ID (EID) along with the date/time of enrollment.
- Complete the captcha verification and click on 'Check Status.'
- Opt for 'Download Aadhaar' for obtaining an e-Aadhaar or 'Acquire Aadhaar on Mobile' for mobile access.
- Updates regarding status will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Option 2: Without Enrollment Number
- Use the UIDAI lost UID/EID portal to retrieve your number.
- Provide necessary details to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP to confirm your identity.
- Your enrollment number/Aadhaar information will be emailed or sent to your registered mobile.
- Use this enrollment number to verify the status.
Option 3: Using Name
Use the Enrollment ID on your acknowledgment slip obtained during Aadhaar application.
Option 4: By SMS
Send "UID STATUS <14-digit enrollment number>" to 51969 to get an update whether Aadhaar is generated or to know its current status.
Option 5: By Post
Your Aadhaar card should be delivered to your registered address within 60 to 90 days. Check the delivery status via India Post's portal.

Method a: Via Aadhaar Number
- Go to the UIDAI update status portal.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- Fill in the captcha code.

Method c: With Updating Request Number (URN)

Method d: By Phone
