  • Visit the official West Bengal caste certificates website: castcertificatewb.gov.in
  • Click on ‘Check Certificate’.
  • Enter details such as your certificate number along with:
    • Issuing authority
    • Name
    • Date
    • Old certificate number
    • Issuing year
  • Click ‘Search’.
  • Your caste certificate details will be displayed on the screen.
  • Review the status and pertinent information.
  • Print a copy for your personal records.

Ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • New certificate number
  • Old certificate number
  • Issuing year
  • Issuing authority
  • Full name

Application Process for SC, ST, or OBC Certificate

Follow these steps to apply:

  • Select your application district.
  • Choose the sub-division.
  • Select municipality or block.
  • Pick your name from the list provided.
  • Select your caste category (SC, ST, OBC).
  • Choose your caste/community/tribe.
  • Input the applicant's details: name, father's name, mobile number, email, Aadhar number, and DOB.
  • Select district, police station, and specify birth village/city.

To complete the address details:

  • Click ‘Get PS’ after selecting the district.
  • Select the respective district’s police station.
  • Enter ward/general practitioner number.
  • Fill in your village/para/house/road number.
  • Add the local post office name.
  • Enter your pin code, ensuring it matches your permanent address.

  • Select the applicant’s religion.
  • Indicate gender.
  • Provide paternal blood lineage if necessary.
  • Include related certificate holder’s name, relationship, certificate number, and issue date.
  • Select issuing authority.
  • Provide referee name and address (Referee I & Referee II).
  • Mention if you are native to another state/country and provide migration information if applicable.
