How to Update PAN Card Photos and Signatures Easily?

The Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a unique alphanumeric code that records an individual's financial history. It's also a recognized identity proof, underscoring the importance of having correct details on this document. The presence of a photo and signature is essential for verification when accessing financial services such as loans, credit cards, or investments. Keeping your PAN card's photo and signature up-to-date is crucial to avoid any issues in the future. Here's how to update your photo or signature:

1. Visit the NSDL website.
2. Select “Changes or Correction in existing PAN data” under “Application Type”.
3. From the “Category” dropdown, select “Individual”.
4. Enter “Applicant Information” and click “Submit”.
5. Save the token number you receive to continue the PAN application process.
6. Choose your preferred KYC verification option.
7. Provide required details, like Aadhaar/EID and other information.
8. Select “Photo Mismatch” and “Signature Mismatch”, fill in your Father's or Mother's details, then click “Next”.
9. In the “Address and Contact” section, fill out personal details such as address and contact info.
10. Provide proof of identity, address, and date of birth.
11. Submitting an Aadhaar card fulfills the previous three requirements plus a copy of your PAN or allotment letter.
12. Agree to the declaration and click “Submit”.
13. Upload scanned copies of necessary documents.
14. Review the complete form, then hit “Submit” to finish, or “Edit” for changes.
15. Pay ₹110 (including GST) for Indian addresses, or ₹1020 (including GST) for international addresses.
16. Save and print the application form.
17. Mail the application to NSDL's address: 'INCOME TAX PAN SERVICES UNIT (Managed by NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited)', 5th Floor Mantri Sterling, Plot No. 341, Survey No. 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk, Pune-411 016.
18. Ensure all required documents accompany the form.
19. Receive a 15-digit acknowledgment number to track your application status.

Alternatively, you can update your PAN card photo or signature offline by:

1. Downloading the Request for New PAN Card or Changes/Correction in PAN Data Form.
2. Filling in all mandatory details carefully.
3. Attaching necessary documents, such as proof of address, identity, and passport-size photos.
4. Submitting the form at an NSDL collection center nearby.
5. Receiving a 15-digit acknowledgment number offline after paying the applicable fees to track the PAN Card application status.

• Proof of Aadhaar (copy of Aadhaar Card) if Aadhaar details are involved
