There are three different methods available for linking Canara Bank accounts with Aadhaar:
1. Linking Canara Bank Account with Aadhaar Online:
Account holders who use internet banking can easily link their Aadhaar number to their bank accounts online. To do this, customers must first register for netbanking and then follow these steps:
- Login to your Canara Bank internet banking account
- Select the account you want to link Aadhaar to
- Go to the "Services" section
- Choose the "Others" option
- Click on "Update Aadhaar Number"
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
- Click on "Update"
2. Linking Canara Bank Account with Aadhaar Offline:
For customers who are not comfortable with online services or using ATMs, Canara Bank has provided an offline method to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar. In this method, customers need to visit their branch and follow these steps:
- Visit the branch of Canara Bank
- Fill out the Aadhaar Seeding form available at the branch
- Attach a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card with the form
- Submit the form and the self-attested copy to the Canara Bank executive
- Provide your original Aadhaar card for verification
- The executive will give you a receipt along with your original Aadhaar card
- Use the acknowledgement number from the receipt to check the status of Aadhaar linking
- Your Aadhaar will be linked with your bank account within two working days
3. Linking Canara Bank Account with Aadhaar through ATM:
Canara Bank customers can also link their bank accounts with Aadhaar through ATMs. Follow these steps to do so:
- Swipe your ATM card at the Canara Bank ATM
- Choose your preferred language
- Enter your PIN
- Select the "Main Menu" option
- Click on "Other Services"
- Select the "More" option
- Choose "Aadhaar Number Registration"
- Select the "Correct" option
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
- Click on "Correct"
- Re-enter your Aadhaar number
- Click on "Correct"
- Select your Account Type (Savings or Current)
- You will receive a message confirming that your Aadhaar registration is successful and is now linked with your bank account
